The Meeting of Two Eyes Kazumasa Harada

My practice continues to be an ongoing attempt to observe and contemplate the concept of "time" through the medium of photography.
Fragments of time, illuminated by the sun as it rises in a continuous chain across every corner of the earth, manifest themselves before our eyes—sometimes as physical events, and other times as perceptual occurrences.
Time intersects in infinite layers, accumulating like sediment. It is perhaps only through photography that we can truly witness these overlapping cross-sections of time, encompassing both the past and the present.
For the past several years, I have been continuously shooting and editing this work while staying in various cities, including Berlin, Paris, Vienna, New York, and Tokyo.
Drawing inspiration from the concept of "Two-Eyed Seeing" as a guide for the editing process, I have woven together time as seen from two distinct perspectives—event and phenomenon—reconstructing them into a singular, binocular time and a material presence.
