Photographed on location at Kiyomizu-dera Temple, one of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Historic Monuments of Ancient Kyoto (Kyoto, Uji and Otsu Cities). This photo collection, captured by renowned photographer Kazuya Sudo, who has shot Kiyomizu-dera over the past decade, represents the culmination of his creativity, lensed through his current, unique perspective.
This book, titled "gleam," which carries the meaning of "glimmer," or "faint light," gently illuminates the thoughts and emotions which surge forth from deep within the hearts of those who peruse its pages. Although such emotions may have gone unnoticed until now, or perhaps remained unexpressed—having no shape or words to describe them—the reminders of such feelings may surely and naturally serve as the catalyst for pondering and directly facing what it truly means to "pray."
