Cosmos of Silence Goshi Uhira
Pickup currently unavailable
The debut monograph by contemporary artist Goshi Uhira, who has gained international acclaim for his delicate, monochrome-based works. This volume presents his diverse artistic and design collaborations with global brands, alongside his ongoing series Skin, which utilizes advanced printing techniques to present the intricate and fragile textures of human skin.
The book features an interview titled "Quiet and Slow Images—Perceiving the Delicate Realm," an essay by art critic Ryo Sawayama ("The Logic of Texture"), and a text by aesthetician Futoshi Hoshino ("The Design of Love") exploring the metaphysical nature of beauty. A detailed index of the various papers used in the production is included at the end. The book itself is a masterpiece of design, featuring silver ink reminiscent of pencil strokes and exquisite hand-binding by Shinohara Shiko.
