The first collection of works by Shoin Kajii, a monk and photographer. It is composed based on the work that won the Grand Prix at the 1st Foil Award organized by the visual magazine "FOIL."
Living on Sado Island as a Shingon Buddhist monk and facing the sea, it contains images of waves generated on the water's surface as an accumulation of the practice of continuously photographing waves.
The work is supported by a precise attitude of meticulously checking wind speed and wave height to aim and shoot, and a spirit that continues to boldly point the lens even in a storm.
A work that combines a spiritual atmosphere with dynamism.
