"Mekashi" is an artist book created by UDA, a Japanese makeup artist who is active at the forefront of creativity and shapes his worldview through makeup that utilizes his unique perspective. It was launched with the purpose of proposing it through photographs, graphics, and words like a laboratory attempting to express beauty while including individual emotions and sensibilities as a place where free creation can live.
The first issue embodies Japan's unique aesthetic sense, time, landscape, and its own nature, centered around the word "between (awai, hazama, aida)." The beauty that comes from vaguely hinting without making it obvious.
The deeply expressive works of 17 creators from Japan and abroad provide us with a pleasant stimulus.
UDA, Akari Eda, Kiyoko Odo, Kusui, Yuki Kumagai, Tomoko Kojima, Naoto Kobayashi, Yoshihisa Sakai, Chieska Fortune Smith, Nami Yoshida,
