Hanadorobo Eikoh Hosoe

A storybook by using photos by photographer Eikoh Hosoe. Hosoe is known as the master of Daido Moriyama, and also is known for his photo book titled "Ba Ra Kei: Ordeal by Roses" modeled after Yukio Mishima, a leading Japanese novelist who was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature. 

This book was filmed using as a model a doll entrusted to her by designer Yoko Kamoi, who revolutionized women's underwear in Japan, and has long been undisclosed since it was photographed in 1966. He took the dolls as actors to various locations, including Aomori, Nagano, Harumi Pier, and Shinjuku. He photographed the dolls while being bewildered and at the mercy of the unique and stately dolls with different expressions and clothing, such as a pregnant woman and a womanizing uncle, who were treated in a bewildering manner. The works make us forget that the models are dolls, and make us feel the life and lifestyle of each of them.
