In Rumi's work, the city becomes more than just a backdrop. The motifs, colors, shapes, and light offer us dreamlike settings, a bucolic perspective of a city that perhaps never really existed. Within the tightly packed buildings, amid the absence of people, bustling streets, and signage, we breathe calm. This idealization leads us to question how we can reach such a place. Perhaps it is the genuine desire for all of us to experience tranquility, if only for a little while.
