Yu Kawasaki is a photographer who continues to create domestic photographs and photographs with the themes of rural and suburban areas.
"Unfinished Surroundings," based on research conducted in Shingu City, Wakayama Prefecture, is an ambitious work that deconstructs the landscape of Kumano, known as a "sacred place,'' and questions the conditions for the establishment of "landscape photography."
