One day, I encountered a single stream and felt a sense of freshness in the existence of a "river," which changes from a one-way flow, different from the waves I had photographed before, into the grand sea. Since then, I have walked around the world for six years, from Iguazu Falls, Niigata and Nagano in Japan, to China, Australia, Canada, Morocco, and Zimbabwe, continuing to photograph various rivers. "Rivers" have existed naturally in our lives since ancient times.
On the other hand, as the Sanzu River represents, they are also special existences that span the boundary between this world and the next.
Like the posture of looking inward and confronting oneself through sutra chanting, this is a work created by gazing at many rivers, facing them, and pressing the shutter while discerning their essence.
