This photo book is a result of a slow and thoughtful maturation, born from Ikuko Harada's visit to Rinko Kawauchi's exhibition "M/E: On a Sphere, An Endless Chain." Harada felt a deep connection between the exhibited photographs and the poetic world of "Ima Koko (いまここ / Here and Now)," a song she co-composed with the poet Shuntaro Tanikawa.
Kawauchi herself composed the book so that the photographs and words resonate with one another. This is seamlessly combined with the design by Art Director Hideyuki Saitowo, who utilized the generous white space to create a light rhythm, like the rustling of leaves. This book serves as a collective effort where individuals from different professions—a poet, a singer, a photographer, and an art director—came together around the common thread of "language," which changes shape as freely as water.
Offering a multilayered worldview through poetry, song, and photography, this is a volume that gently embraces readers of all ages.
