This book is primarily composed of precious, previously unreleased color positive film shots originally taken for the nude photobook Kagero in 1972—the very same year his masterpieces Farewell Photography and the Record series were born. Mirage was produced as the fourth installment of the exceptional publishing project "MMM," featuring photography and planning by Daido Moriyama, editing by Hisako Motoo, and graphic design by Satoshi Machiguchi.
