This is the first collection of works by Tsukasa Kudo, who is a fashion designer who works on the men's line "KUDOS" and the women's line "SODUK," as well as a photographer.
Published in July 2025 to coincide with an exhibition at Shaba in Kagurazaka, Tokyo.
This book looks back on and reconstructs the photographs that Kudo has taken over the past 10 years.
The book is interspersed with scenes of encounters with the landscapes and people that Kudo has encountered over the years.
"My photographic record spanning roughly 10 years includes some people I've photographed multiple times since we first met, and others I only photographed once. I think I press the shutter because I want to see the beautiful scenery that unfolds only in that moment, a shared experience. While reality certainly changes over time, to me, photography is about capturing the miraculous moment that unfolds before me."
-Tsukasa Kudo-
The book cover was created through extensive dialogue between Kudo and Taiwanese designer Aaron Nieh. This collaboration between the two reflects their desire to communicate not only to Japan but to the world from Asia.
