Interlude Yuki Kumagai

The photographer Kumagai Yuki is active in a wide range of fields, including fashion magazines, advertising and portraits of artists.
To mark the 10-year milestone of his photographic career, he has published a long-awaited book of his work to date.

The photographs he has taken over the past five years since becoming independent from his mentor Osamu Yokonami, are so deeply connected to his personal memories that he clearly remembers the episodes associated with each one. On the other hand, as the title "Interlude" suggests, they have an anonymity that resists being defined, and are connected to the viewer's senses beyond words.
