Japanese artist and retoucher Rumi Ando’s photobook “Tokyo Nude” is based on the concept of creating a fictional Tokyo through photography using retouching techniques such as compositing and processing. Removing any visual noise such as billboards, windows and and other objects, Ando strips the city down to its architectural essence and offers a work truly focused on Tokyo-the-city in a nude state.
