In modern times, barcodes are attached to all sorts of things as indicators of their value. And without even realizing it, we realize that we are viewing the world through our own "barcodes" of values. Sometimes these "barcodes" can blind the viewer to the extent that they obscure the essence of the object, or they can exist as a thin filter without us even noticing. What exactly does "being able to see" mean? This book by Japanese photographer Keita Noguchi was created with the theme of values and new perspectives; he arranged all photographs printed on transparent film and barcodes printed on tracing paper by hand for each book.
