This is a collection of snapshots taken by Hiroh Kikai over a 15-year period from 1994 to 2009, six times in total, of people living in the magnificent land of "Anatolia" in the Republic of Turkey, which is considered the cradle of human civilization and located at the intersection of Eastern and Western civilizations. Although this region has a history of civilization that flourished in ancient times, it has been completely left behind by modernization and still retains a simple way of life. The artist continued to click his shutter, overwhelmed by the changing landscapes of this unique region, with houses carved out of huge rocks, desolate mountain landscapes, and children living in the cities. Through the happy expressions on the faces of the people who live with nature rather than conquer it, this book makes us think about what is the innate way of life of human beings.
